TIMOTHY H. GIRARD

Timothy H. Girard
		     Tim has been engaged in the practice of law since 1988. He is one of the founding members of Woner, Glenn, Reeder, Girard & Riordan, P.A. Tim's recent practice has been primarily in the areas of bankruptcy, commercial loan and business workouts, real estate and personal property foreclosure, commercial litigation, and commercial loan document preparation. Tim has represented creditors in Chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13 cases (and has also represented debtors in each Chapter) in the bankruptcy courts in Topeka, Kansas City, and Wichita; and has handled a broad range of debtor and creditor litigation, including lender liability actions.  Tim is a past President and Board of Director member of the Topeka Area Bankruptcy Council. He presented, "An Overview of Revised Article 9" on behalf of the Kansas Bar Association as Revised Article 9 went into effect.

     Tim grew up in Belleville, did his undergraduate work at KSU, and earned his J.D. from KU in 1988.  Tim and his wife, Lesli,have three children, Kristina, Nathan, and Bradly.  Tim and his family are parishioners of the Christ the King Church in Topeka, where Tim serves as a lector.  Tim spends his personal time engaged in family activities.  Lesli is the coordinator for Families Together, Inc., a firm which provides information to Kansas families that have a child with a disability.
