PATRICIA A. REEDER

Patricia A. Reeder Pat is a shareholder in the law firm of Woner, Glenn, Reeder, Girard, & Riordan, P.A., with twenty-seven years of legal experience as a practicing lawyer.  Her primary practice emphasis has been in the areas of banking, bankruptcy and commercial law and litigation on behalf of numerous bank clients across Kansas.  Her bank clientele rely upon her for representation in the bankruptcy courts in Topeka, Kansas City and Wichita; state and federal court litigation; day-to-day advice, document preparation and review; regulatory guidance; real estate and personal property foreclosures in state and federal courts; and the defense of lender liability actions. Pat also handles family law cases and adoptions.

    Pat grew up in Troy, Kansas; did her undergraduate work at Kansas State University; and earned her J.D. from the University of Kansas.  Pat is a third generation Kansas lawyer.  Her father, Robert A. Reeder, has practiced law and served as a Bank Director for 1st Bank of Troy for more than a half-century in Troy, continuing the Troy law practice of his father, C. W. Reeder.  Pat was a founding partner of Woner, Glenn, Reeder, Girard, & Riordan P.A. in 1991.  She has been a regular speaker at seminars involving banking, bankruptcy, and commercial topics for the Kansas Bar Association, the Community Bankers Association, the National Business Institute, and The Topeka Area Bankruptcy Council. She is a former President of the Kansas Bar Association’s Bankruptcy and Insolvency Section and served on the Bankruptcy Rules Committee for the District of Kansas for many years. Pat also serves as Counsel to the Girl Scouts of Kaw Valley Council, Inc.; and is on the state wide Board of Directors of Kansas Legal Services and the Advisory Board of Directors of Kansas Legal Services in Topeka, where she is the Past-President.

    Pat and her husband, Bruce (also a member of Woner, Glenn, Reeder, Girard, & Riordan P.A.), have two children, Ben and Laura.  Pat and her family are active members of First United Methodist Church in Topeka, and the Topeka Round-Up Club. They are also avid supporters of girls' softball, especially when Laura is playing.
