Doug joined the firm as a shareholder. Doug practices primarily in the areas of:
General Tax and Transactional Planning;
Estate Planning;
Tax-qualified Retirement Plans; and
Executive and other non-qualified compensation planning for not-for-profit and for-profit clients
He was born in Wellington, Kansas and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wichita State University (1993). Doug graduated from the Washburn University School of Law (1998), with honors, and received an LL.M (Master of Laws, Taxation) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (1999).
Doug is a member of the American Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association (Executive Committee member, Taxation Section), and Topeka Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer to a number of various professional groups on estate planning and federal tax matters.
Doug is married to Dr. Sheri Fincher. Sheri is a family physician with the Cotton O'Neil group. Doug is an avid fly-fisherman.
